our history
the spirit of zine.cafe started under a different name, Trans*Formative Arts Curriculum, a set of lesson plans that
incorporated visual arts, social justice, and social emotional learning standards. this project was funded by the
optiMize Social Innovation Challenge in 2024.
while developing T*AC, creator day began compiling zine resources they found online and wanted to share with other
educators. this was when zine.cafe was realized.
